The Science Engineering Fair of Houston (SEFH) was held Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 28 – March 2 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.   Kevin Cyr, a senior at Clear Lake High School, was named a Grand Award Life Science winner and will advance to the international competition held in May in Phoenix.  Divya Koyyalagunta, also from Clear Lake High School, was named Grand Award Life Science alternate.  In addition, fourteen intermediate and high school students will compete at the state level later this month.  Congratulations to the many CCISD students that placed in the SEFH categories and those selected to receive special awards from local and nationals awarding agencies.  All students that qualified to represent CCISD at the regional fair are to be commended for their efforts.  

A Science Fair Advisory Meeting is open to all interested parents and community members on Thursday, April 18th, from 4:30 – 6:00 in the League City IS commons.   Discussions will be held on ways to promote science fair as an extracurricular activity in the district.
