College and Career Readiness
Clear Creek ISD is committed to college and career readiness for all students. This website is designed to help students and their parents as they prepare for life after high school. This post-secondary experience is different for each child and it is our goal that information on this website will be helpful to you whether you are submitting college applications, entering the workforce, or enlisting in the military.
It is never too soon or never too late to start down the post-secondary path. For starters, parents and students should review our newly-developed Junior and Senior Handbook. This handbook, in addition to the Intermediate Education Planning Guide and the High School Education Planning Guide, will outline the steps to success, regardless of your post-secondary path.
CCISD offers an array of rigorous Career and Technical Education courses where students can earn certifications before graduation. Each of our high schools is designed around career interests. These Smaller Learning Communities allow students to engage in coursework relating to their career interest.
Clear Creek ISD has also secured a unique service where parents and students can create a personal career and college plan. Naviance Family Connection will allow students and parents to:
Get involved in the planning and advising process
Order transcripts, build a resume, complete online surveys, and keep track of admissions deadlines.
Research careers
Develop your own "Career Interest Profiler" as an online career interest assessment for students based on Holland's interest codes. The results link students directly to detailed career profiles, which include educational requirements and salary data.
Take a Learning Style Inventory
The innovative learning style inventory gives important insights about how students learn in order to help each student achieve maximum potential.
Research colleges
Compare GPA, standardized test scores, and other statistics to actual historical data from our school for students who have applied and have been admitted in the past.
