Goal:

To educate the Robonauts in the field of engineering

The first goal of The Robonauts is to educate the team, which includes students, parents, mentors, engineers, teachers, alumni, sponsors, and administrators, in the field of engineering. A fundamental factor in accomplishing this goal is that every student actively participates in robot construction. Students on the Robonaut team are able to work side-by-side with world-class engineers in a 'flat' environment. This encourages open communication and the sharing of ideas and knowledge, both to the students and the mentors. Parents and administrators are always encouraged to join in on any activity during the year. Each Robonaut leaves the team having acquired both practical and theoretical engineering skills.
