Baker, CCISD’s coordinator of Career and Technical Education, led the
pledge. Mrs. Baker was recognized as the Region 6 Career and Technical
Education Administrator of the Year.

The following staffing announcements were made: Jimmy Grier,
currently serving as assistant principal at Clear Brook High School,
was assigned to the position of coordinator of health/PE and assistant
athletic director. Monica Speaks, currently serving as
an assistant principal at Clear Brook High School, was assigned to the
position of associate principal at Clear Lake High School. Brian Palazzi,
currently serving a teacher at Clear Creek High School, was assigned to
the position of secondary assistant principal at Clear Brook High
School. Elizabeth Raska, named assistant principal at June's Board Workshop, has been assigned to Clear Springs High School. Donna Baggs,
currently serving as assistant principal at Westbrook Intermediate, has
been assigned to the position of assistant principal at Clear Falls
High School. Jackie Grigar, currently serving as
assistant principal at Clear Lake High School, has been assigned to the
position of assistant principal at Brookside Intermediate. Jenny Thomas, currently serving as a principal in Houston ISD, was assigned to the position of principal at Armand Bayou Elementary.
The board authorized six additional teachers for the 2015-2016 school year to accommodate student enrollment growth.
A resolution was passed to pay employees from the June 16, 2015 district closure due to Tropical Storm Bill.
board approved an order authorizing the conversion of certain Variable
Rate Unlimited Tax School Building Bonds, Series 2013B to a new rate
period. It is projected CCISD will see a $36.6 million savings over the

District received its Annual Tax Collection Report from Perdue Brandon
Fielder Collins and Mott, LLP. For the 2013 tax year, the District and
its tax collection vendor received 99.75% of the 2013 taxes valuing more
than $217 million. Eighty-two percent of the remaining delinquent
taxes, $2,458,446, was collected for the 2013 tax year with the
remaining balance in bankruptcy, deferred, in suit or still outstanding.
