Recognitions (VIEW PHOTOS)

January is School Board Recognition Month in Texas. This year’s theme is a “Work at Heart” and several CCISD students’ artwork was reproduced into stationary for the school board members. Additionally, the Clear Creek Council of PTAs presented the board a token of appreciation for its dedication to students.

One member of the public provided community input regarding special education.

Board Items of Interest

  • The 2013-2014 Texas Academic Performance Report was presented. Click here to view it.
  • The Board called for the school board trustee election for May 9, 2015 for board of trustee positions Single-Member District 4, Single-Member District 5, and Candidate At-Large A. The deadline to file for a place on the ballot for the Election is February 27, 2015. Click here to view district map. The Board of Trustees also approved a joint election order with the City of Nassau Bay.
  • A resolution in support of full-day pre-kindergarten was approved by the Board. The issue of full-day pre-kindergarten is a legislative priority of the school board and many districts across Texas.
  • The Clear Creek Independent School District received the 2014 Comprehensive Financial Audit. Click here to view the entire audit.
  • Michael Allison was named Head Football Coach and Athletic Coordinator at Clear Brook High School.
  • Chenier Bibb was named Assistant Principal of Bauerschlag Elementary, Melissa Sciba was named Assistant Principal of Ed White Elementary, and Emily Auffarber was named Assistant Principal of Clear Lake Intermediate.
  • The board far exceeded the state’s requirements for continuing hours with 274 professional learning hours.
