Imaginations Soar During CCISD Tradition

Clear Creek ISD’s Education Village was alive with music, artistic inspiration and laughter at the 21st annual Imagination Celebration.

This special day, sponsored by the CCISD Department of Visual and Performing Arts and designed for elementary-aged children and their families, gave students the chance to create their own works of art at a dozen Creation Stations. Students left the event with a treasure trove of painted tiles, clay sculptures, paper flowers and decorated rocks. Budding musicians were able to practice at the Instrument Petting Zoo and most in attendance were turned into living works of art thanks to the popular face painting station provided by district high school students.

“This year’s Imagination Celebration was a great success thanks to the incredible work by our elementary fine arts teachers and the Visual and Performing Arts team from Clear Creek ISD,” said Dean Muths, Visual and Performing Arts director.

Masterpieces, both two and three-dimensional, from every elementary school were on display for the impressed crowd. The day culminated with a performance by the 5th Grade Honor Choir comprised of students from every CCISD elementary campus and conducted by guest clinician Connie Goodwin.

“Imagination Celebration is a true celebration of the creativity and self-esteem building aspects of the Arts for our kids,” Muths added.  “This event shows that when teachers and parents collaborate with the students we serve, the possibilities are virtually endless.”
