Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Chris Araj

spotlightDr. Chris Araj was raised in Seabrook, TX and is a proud Falcon graduate from Clear Lake High School, class of 2004. He attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders in 2007. After receiving his bachelors, he continued his education at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland to receive his Au.D. (Doctorate of Audiology) in 2011. Since 2011, he has practiced as a Texas board certified audiologist and opened his own practice, Pearland Hearing Aids & Audiology, in 2016.

At 30 years old, Dr. Araj was elected the 2017 President of the Texas Academy of Audiology after serving as the past vice president of Public Relations and Professional Issues. He has been asked to serve on the New Professional Committee for the American Academy of Audiology as well as the Early Career Professionals Committee for the Academy of Doctors of Audiology.

Dr. Araj is an active member of St. George Orthodox Christian Church in West University and the Pearland Chamber of Commerce. He has been invited to speak at many different events and regularly visits assisted living and rehabilitation centers to offer them assistance.

He currently resides in the Clear Lake Area with his wife, Rund, and their 1.5 year old son, Andrew. They are especially excited to bring in the New Years as they expect the arrival of their daughter!
