COVID-19 Response

The Clear Creek Independent School District is committed to providing learning and working environments that promote health and wellness.

Below are some strategies parents and staff can use to keep CCISD healthy.

  1. If students or staff are sick, running fever, or have symptoms of illness, they are encouraged to stay home to decrease the spread of germs. Staff and parents should refer to the CDC websiteTDSHS, and consult with their personal care provider fortreatment and when it is appropriate to return to school or work.
  2. The criteria for return to work, school, and all activities are being fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medicine and an improvement in symptoms according to the CCISD illness policy. Like many seasonal illnesses, symptoms, severity, and duration may vary between people. Some will have mild symptoms that last a few days, others may have symptoms for days or weeks.
  3. Staff members are responsible for following the employee illness policy per the employee handbook. Staff members should report to their supervisor with any questions or concerns.
  4. Students should follow the illness policy in the student handbook.  Parents should refer to the student’s assistant principal regarding questions about exemptions.

CCISD continues to monitor the health and safety of our students and community.  Schools will continue to be routinely cleaned per district protocols. Reports of communicable diseases such as COVID-19 will be reported to the appropriate county health officials per county requirements.

Hygiene remains the number one weapon against illness. This includes handwashing and covering your cough and remaining home when ill.

CCISD remains committed to the health and safety of our staff, students, and community.  Working together we can decrease our risk of spreading illnesses.
