E-STEM PROGRAM

Ed White Elementary and Walter Hall Elementary

In the fall of 2019, Clear Creek ISD’s new E-STEM Magnet program launched at Walter Hall Elementary School. The program, which was established at Ed White E-STEM Magnet School in 2014, has a vision to prepare and inspire generations of life-long learners to meet the challenges of a global society through critical thinking in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Students in E-STEM schools participate in a highly enriched curriculum that focuses on STEM subjects. They are provided with early opportunities to explore and develop their interests and solve real-world problems. E-STEM schools have an increased focus on engineering through basic design application and technology that is infused throughout the entire curriculum.

The E-STEM program is implemented in every grade level for students who attend Ed White and Hall Elementary as their home school. In addition, the school district has approved the addition of extra spaces in kindergarten for students who are in CCISD, but outside both attendance zones. These spaces will be chosen through a lottery system. Students who would like to participate must fill out a lottery application. Students in grades 1-5 may transfer into the program through a transfer request as space allows. See Student Transfers, and CCISD Policy FDA/FDB (LOCAL) for more information.

The Walter Hall E-STEM and Ed White E-STEM Magnet Programs in Clear Creek ISD are now accepting applications for incoming kindergarten students for next school year.

The magnet programs accept kindergarten students who live outside the school’s attendance zone through a lottery system for the 2020-2021 school year. The application deadline is May 15, 2020, and the lottery selection for each school will take place on May 22, 2020. Incoming first through fifth grade students may also transfer into the programs through a first-come, first-served transfer request as space allows. The transfer application opens March 1, 2020

Due to COVID-19, in-person parent information meetings have been cancelled. Please watch the following narrated presentation on the E-STEM Magnet programs.
