She received a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from Baylor University before obtaining her teaching certification from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, where she also received a Master of Education in educational leadership.

Prior to college, Kattner is proud to say she was a product of Clear Creek ISD, all the way from Webster Elementary to Clear Creek High School. Her own children also attended CCISD schools, and both graduated from Clear Lake High School.

“CCISD truly models a ‘people first’ approach to planning and decision making,” she said. “The focus on people begins with ensuring that we reach each child in a meaningful way. This focus carries all the way through to how they give back to the community, especially after crises such as Hurricane Harvey.”

Kattner is excited to join the team at North Pointe, a National School of Character, which she notes is committed to “character education and supporting students in setting and reaching their goals.”

“I can’t wait to begin meeting the students and building new relationships,” she said. “What I love most about my career is that every day brings a new opportunity to create a positive impact. I love building relationships with students and staff that facilitate a positive culture for learning and growing. I love being able to go to work every day with people who are passionate about finding new and creative ways to inspire kids and who refuse to give up on them… and the hugs! Where else can you go to work and get hugs from dozens of precious kids every day?”
