This dinner has evolved and become a tradition over the past six years for the school. Donations of frozen turkeys were also collected this year and handed out at the dinner to the custodians.

“We wanted to make sure each of the families had a turkey to make for their families for Thanksgiving next week because they deserve it,” said Julia Gomez, junior at Clear Falls High School.

This dinner began through the efforts of a student club at Clear Falls called the “Litter Bugs” which was formed by calculus teacher Anthony Tran. He and his students saw a need to help the custodians clean up throughout their large campus every day due to staffing shortages.

“The custodians are working and trying so hard, so we decided to go through and help them pick up on our campus where we can throughout the year,” said Tran. “This dinner is just a token of our appreciation for all they do for us throughout the year behind the scenes.”
