Board Recognitions

Fifth grade students representing Weber Elementary led the pledge.

Robotics teams from North Pointe Elementary, Westbrook Intermediate, Clear Brook High School, Clear Lake High School and Clear Springs High School were recognized for their top performances at the VEX Competition last month.

Ten students were recognized for completing CCISD’s winter Reading Challenge over the holiday break. Out of more than 100 participants, these students were selected by an electronic random drawing to receive a prize.

Austin Darrow, an English I and AP English literature teacher at Clear Creek High School, was named the Teacher of the Year by the Texas Council of Teachers of English Language Arts.

The Clear Falls High School football team was recognized for their historic season and being named the Regional Semi-Final Champion. Coach Zach Head was also names as a finalist for the Coach of the Year by the Touchdown Club of Houston.

January is CCISD School Board Recognition Month and the trustees were recognized for their service. Click here for the video.

Items of Interest

Consent Agenda was approved.

The 2019-2020 Financial Audit was reviewed and adopted. The District received a clean report. 

A resolution to order a school board trustee election for District 4, District 4 and At-Large position A. The board also approved a joint election agreement with the City of Nassau Bay. Click here for more information.

The House Bill 3 Board Adopted Goals and Plans were approved.
