Why don't all classes have textbooks?

In CCISD, we utilize multiple resources to bring relevancy and rigor to the curriculum. CCISD is a 1:1 school district (one computer per student) in grades 4-12. Through this effort, we are able to provide students digital textbooks, lightening the load on the backpack. ?

In the elementary level, teachers utilize guided reading strategies where students are provided books that align with their reading level with incremental increases throughout the year.

In intermediate and high school, students will primarily access their textbooks through their district-issued tablets. Some courses are still using the traditional textbook because the publisher has not moved to digital resources. Class sets of textbooks are also available.
